Samsung Captivate – How To USB Internet Tethering Trick
This is another tip/trick on how to use your samsung captivate as a modem for your computer.
Basically it uses your phone as a modem and connects you online. This uses your data plan so if you do not have unlimited data you might run a risk of being charged money if you exceed your data plan.
Make sure you have the samsung captivate usb drivers installed first!
go to your settings, then applications menu then usb menu. select internet pc.
when you connect your samsung captivate to your pc via usb you will be asked if you want to connect to the network.
open up your favorite browser (usually chrome or firefox!) and surf away!
*note that you will not be able to access your phone’s memory when using this method to browse the internet. Your usb port is being used for internet access and not file storage.
