Question by Genesiss: I Cannot Access “My Computer” or “Internet Explorer” from My Account?
For some strange reason, when I log in on my account, I click on “My Computer” the cursor quickly turns to an hourglass, but nothing appears. The same thing happens when I try to access “Internet Explorer”. When I go onto other accounts, everything works fine, just my account doesn’t. I recently downloaded a PS emulator for my computer and when I finished configuring everything, I clicked on “Insert CD-ROM” and the screen went all black. So, I just turned my computer off by holding the button and now, when I go back to my account, I can’t access “My Computer” and my account also begins to freeze. I am wondering if it is the emulator or not because I have already deleted all the files from my computer. If that isn’t the problem, could someone try and help me!?!

Sounds like something has screwed up ur account settings, either a virus or a program. The easiest thing to do would be to save all your files by browsing the hard drive from an administrator account, then deleting ur user account and creating a new one and put all ur files in there. You could also try the system restore function, (under accessories then system tools on the start menu) restore the system to a date before ur account messed up
