Question by : Everytime I log onto my computer it says “startup repair “?
So that window popped up when i was trying to log on and a window pops up saying windows cannot start up. So i try to diagnose it but it says it cant fix error and says “if you have recently attached a device to this computer such as a camera or portable music player, remove it and restart your computer. If you continue to see this message, contact your adminastrator or computer manufacturer for assistance” and then it tells me to shut it down. Can someone please help? I do not know whats wrong here

my most recent experience with this error was when the hard drive went bad. I had to replace the drive and reinstall Windows.

Computer Repair: Missing or Corrupt Error Message System32\Drivers\Ntfs.sys To resolve this problem do the followings:- 1] Boot computer with the Windows XP CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive. 2] To repair a Windows XP installation using Recovery Console, press R. 3] At the command prompt, type the following commands:- cd \windows\system32\drivers [Press the ENTER Key] ren ntfs.sys ntfs.old [Press the ENTER Key] If the ntfs.sys file is there and corrupt it will rename it. If it is not there then it was missing. 4]At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER: copy X:\i386\ntfs.sys drive:\windows\system32\drivers [Where X=CD-ROM Drive] 5]Remove the Windows XP CD from CD-ROM drive, type quit, and then press ENTER to quit the Recovery Console. 6. Problem trying to “repair” my computer?

When ever I get done using my CPU for a night, I turn it back on in the morning and it freezes when booting up on the Windows XP Logo. I can not figure out the problem so since I have a Dell I use the CTRL + F11 function like I have before once to restore my CPU but once I get the the restore part my keyboard just won’t work ( Bluetooth) but it has before it works when I press CTRL + F11 though. I even plugged in a USB keyboard so I could try that Please HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way Guy below I can get into regulare mode but when I first boot up it freezes but when I turn it on again it works fine but I have tried system restore doesnt work.I try to restore my cpu CTRL+F11 but once it gets to were it says restore or re boot It wont let me choose with my Keyboard it like it doesnt work

It sounds like you have a corrupt install of the operating system. If you cannot open in normal mode, try loading Safe Mode, then run System Restore.
To get to Safe Mode, when your computer is starting, continually press F8.

Yes my sound isn’t working anymore. My computer crapped out on my awhile ago and I finally got it back today, however I am having problems with it. The audio is the main problem at the moment because it won’t play at all. Certain errors will make it cause sound but nothing else plays. Before, I only had to plug in my speakers but I’ve tried every possible plug in area and none of them work. I don’t know what to do anymore.

did you install the proper drivers?
old drivers may only be able to produce a certain range of compatible device sounds
also, the internal sound card could be broken, suggest purchasing a new sound card
