@forestfeanor to generate large primes in java i used the BigInteger class. It has method called nextProbablePrime() ; this method applies primelity tests on the prime returned. It doesnt not 100% generate a prime but its pretty unlikely for it not to be a prime. the probability of it being not a prime (composite) is something like 1 in 1267650600228229401496703205376. Bare in mind that winning the uk lottery is 1 in about 13,000,000. Hope that helps.

@GimcrackGorilla I don’t have to original program any more its a bit un-organised because i messed with it too much, but i’m working on one at the moment that I just started which will be more user friendly and not command line driven. Might put it on a website as well so everyone can encrypt there own messages. Take a look at the video when I finished writing the program. Sorry If I confused you at all.

I think what I might do is create a program that encrypts and decrypts text that you give it according to a keyword you pass the program. Hmm i really should finish off this program though.
